My New Belief Change Model!

Hope everyone's been doing good. I've been having
a TON of fun pursuing a new found love for the
art of Muay Thai (or Thai Boxing)...and getting
into the best shape of my life has been a nice
"side effect" :) 

Today I want to share some of my very latest
breakthroughs in this skill and art of manifesting
success and happiness.

As you may have noticed from my last few videos,
I've started to make a strong move towards
"evidence based technologies"

...that's just a fancy way of saying "technology
that's been proven to work better than placebos
beyond a shadow of statistical doubt."

So today I'm going to share how this shift in my
thinking and research has led me to a very much
improved belief change model...which has been
working miracles with my private coaching clients.

Wihtout further ado, let me present the:
"Belief Buster Shortcut":

Activate affective system via compassion ->
EFT "-" Emotional Glue -> Mindful Rational
Investigation -> Empowering Choice ->
Check -> Immediate Reinforcing Action

Let's break that down into steps...
1) Activate affective system via compassion

Modern research on compassion has proved it's
pretty much miraculous effect on our well-being,
ability to change and willpower.

To put it all very simply...by starting with
compassion...and relating to the unwanted belief
with compassion we immediately feel better and
exponentially increase our chances of actually
changing it!
2) EFT "-" Emotional Glue

Next up is to zap the negative emotions surrounding
the unwanted belief. 

Any emotions (even frustration at having it) help
keep it glued in there...so take care of them all.
3) Mindful Rational Investigation

All this point you'll be feeling a lot clearer and
have a ton more "space" around the belief.

Now is the perfect time to take a step back and
logically analyse the belief...and the various
assumptions that it's built on.

Rationally challenge the assumptions...pick holes
in them. Realize how the belief is possibly skewed
or just inaccurate.

To be mindful in this context means to see through
cognitive distortions that may have previously
clouded your thoughts and emotions.
4) Empowering Choice

Once you've rationally picked apart the distortions
and faulty assumptions unpinning the belief it's
time to install something positive and empowering.

Choose a more rationally sound belief or thought,
one that reflects reality better and hopefully
empowers you in the way you choose.

Also when making this choice, ensure that it creates
positive emotions within you.

Tap this choice in using the choices form of EFT.
5) Check

Check to see if the choice you made, and tapped in
is creating positive emotions and empowering you to
do what you want to do.

If not, treat it with compassion, EFT any lingering
negative emotions, apply mindful awareness and rational
thinking...and make a better choice.

Repeat until you have a belief that represents
reality and empowers you in the way you choose.
6) Immediate Reinforcing Action

Take immediate action that reinforces the new belief
or choice you just made...ideally this will be a very
small, easy step.

This maximizes your chance of following through
immediately which further cements the new belief within
your unconscious mind.
